$2,600,000.00 VERDICT, Marcotte v. Kohler. A products liability case. A young child sustained injuries to his hand from a riding lawnmower. The manufacturer failed to have a guard which was standard in the industry in the United States and in Europe.  This case was filed in Miami-Dade County, Florida.  The Defendant contested liability (fault) for years before a Miami jury decided its fate and awarded the minor child the sum of two million six hundred thousand dollars ($2,600,000).
