Man injured when he drives into West Delray canal

An unidentified man drove into a canal about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday near the 6200 block of Linton Boulevard, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

A bystander called 911 and then dove in to rescue the driver, who was taken to Delray Medical Center with minor injuries, said Sheriff’s Office spokesman Eric Davis.

The Sheriff’s Office did not release the identities of the driver or the rescuer.
